We use "por" to talk about reasons, motive, cause.

  • Elegí Hi Espanol por el profesor. (Because of...)

We use "para" to talk about purpose aim, goals.

We use "por" to talk about time and periodicity.

  • La clase es por la mañana. (In the morning...)
